Gabriel Lame Chair: Laureates

The laureates in 2014 are:
Alexandre Zvonkine (Laboratoire Bordelais de Recherche en Informatique, Université de Bordeaux). Research interests include enumerative, geometric, and algebraic combinatorics.

Frédéric Klopp (Institut de Mathématiques de Jussieu, Université Pierre et Marie Curie). Conducts research in statistics of random operators.

Harald Helfgott (CNRS/Ecole Normale Superieure, Paris). Adams and Whitehead prize winner, works in group theory, diophantine geometry, additive compbinatorics, analytic and probabilistic number theory.


The laureate in 2015 is:
Jean-Louis Colliot-Thélène (Université Paris-Sud, Orsay). A leading specialist on number theory and algebraic geometry, awarded Fermat Prize (1991) and Grand prize of the French Academy of Sciences (2009).


The recipients of the Lame Chair in 2016–2017 are:


Fall 2016 — Alexander Bufetov, senior researcher (directeur de recherche) at the Institute of Mathematics, University Aix-Marseille; research interests lie in the fields of ergodic theory and dynamical systems.
Spring 2017 — Zhan Shi, professor at the University Paris 6; research interests center on probability theory and random processes.
Alexander Bufetov and Zhan Shi will teach lecture courses at the Chebyshev laboratory of SPbU, conduct scientific seminars and organize conferences in their fields of research.

The next Lame Chair contest will be announced in spring 2016.
